An accident with no damage was reported after a vehicle drove off a curve, descended into the ditch and traveled through a corn field where it got stuck near Hwy. 10 in Maiden Rock. The insurance company could not come up with a tow, so the landowner removed the vehicle with his tractor.

8:47 p.m.

Deputies responded to River Falls near the intersection of Cty. Tk. F and Cty. Tk. FF for a report of a one-vehicle crash. The vehicle operator lost control going down a hill and struck a concrete barrier. The driver was cited for Failure to Maintain Control.

March 9 10:09 a.m.

A driver was stopped and warned after being observed speeding on 860th St. near Hwy. 10 in Ellsworth. 11:35 a.m.

A tow company was assisted removing a UHaul truck from the roadway on 450th St. in Spring Valley.

5:46 p.m.

A driver was stopped and cited for speeding in River Falls near the intersection of 770th Ave. and Hwy. 65.

7:51 p.m.

Loose dogs were reported on Cty. Tk. F in River Falls.

March 10 7:44 a.m.

A report of a missing black lab was taken from 462nd Ave. in Prescott. The dog was later reported to have been found.

8:49 a.m.

A report of a found dog was received from Ellsworth near the intersection of 270th Ave. and 672nd St.

8:56 a.m.

A complainant reported catching a truck on his camera at the property he recently purchased. The property was checked, and nobody was there. Nothing appeared to be out of place. Information was passed on to the DNR of possible poaching by the previous resident. 9:25 a.m. Information was received about a safe found in the ditch on 825th St. in Hager City. It was found to be reported stolen out of Red Wing. The safe was collected as evidence.

10:42 a.m.

A bag of garbage was removed from the southbound lane of Hwy. 63 near Hwy. 35 in Hager City.

12:10 p.m.

A complainant reported that someone painted a speed limit sign near the intersection of 770th Ave. and 910th St. in River Falls.

3:08 p.m.

A complainant reported fraud by phone from an unknown number after a call was received from someone claiming to work for Amazon.

4:54 p.m.

Contact was made with a driver on 770th St. near Hwy. 29 in River Falls who was towing another vehicle down the roadway. The driver was advised of the rules regarding towing vehicles on the roadway. The vehicles were followed home for safety concerns.

5:41 p.m.

A report of a missing basset hound was received on 350th Ave. in Maiden Rock.

5:57 p.m.

A male who was walking on the shoulder near the intersection of 870th St. and Hwy. 10 in Ellsworth was checked on. The male stated he had a friend coming over that got lost and he was attempting to help her with directions. He was offered a ride home due to weather but stated he wanted to walk.

8:40 p.m.

A suspicious person was reported on 1160th St. in River Falls.

10:14 p.m.

Deputies responded to Bay City near the intersection of 250th Ave. and Cty. Tk. D for a report of a tree across the road. The tree was removed upon arrival.

11:39 p.m.

A truck parked in a parking lot in the 100 block of E. Main St. in Ellsworth was checked on. A female occupant had misdemeanor warrants but the jail would not accept. The male passenger was clear. Neither had valid driver’s licenses, but they stated they did not drive.

March 11 12:13 a.m.

Deputies responded to River Falls near the intersection of 870th Ave. and Cty. Tk. Y to check on a controlled burn. It appeared to be under control.

10:02 a.m.

A complainant on 980th St. in Hager City reported a number of planes flying over their house the previous night. The complainant said not all the planes had lights on them, he could only hear them. The complainant did not want anything done, just wanted to make sure authorities were aware.

10:25 a.m.

The Township of Ellsworth called to report an illegal garbage dumping near the intersection of 640th Ave. and 950th St. A suspect was contacted.

10:51 a.m.

Deputies were dispatched to 490th St. in Ellsworth for a motorcycle that was recovered. The owner was contacted, and the motorcycle was stolen. Contact was made with suspects. 2:53 p.m.

River Falls PD was assisted with a K9 search in the 500 block of S. Wasson Ln. 5:50 p.m.

Deputies responded to Hwy. 63 in Baldwin for a missing trailer the complainant believed to be stolen. Statements were collected from the

victim. 8:46 p.m.

A car vs deer crash scene with vehicle parts all over the road was located near the intersection of 400th St. and Hwy. 10 in Ellsworth. The vehicle was not located. March 12 3:39 a.m.

A suspicious vehicle was located parked on the roadway near storage units in Ellsworth near the intersection of N. Maple St. and Overlook Dr. The surrounding areas were checked, and everything appeared secure. 8:53 a.m.

A driver was stopped near the intersection of 1005th St. and Hwy. 35 in Hager City and issued a citation for speeding.

9:27 a.m.

Deputies responded to the 900 block of Main St. in Plum City for a student who left school after violation school rules by bringing knives to school. 9:45 a.m.

Deputies responded to 410th St. in Spring Valley for a one-vehicle crash. The vehicle went into the ditch and rolled over. The driver was transported to an area hospital.

11:09 a.m.

The area of 250th St. in Spring Valley was checked for a reported suspicious van. Nothing was located. 5:05 p.m.

Deputies responded to a business on 825th St. in Hager City for a possible assault. Both parties were talked to and information was gathered. The male subject was arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Misdemeanor Battery and Criminal Damage to Property. 5:22 p.m.

A complainant called to report striking an owl near the intersection of Hwy. 35 and 570th St. in Bay City. The vehicle was drivable, and the owl was off to the side of the road.

12:58 a.m.

A driver was stopped and warned for operating left of center and failure to stop for a stop sign near the intersection of 1005th St. and Hwy. 35 in Hager City. The driver was cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

1:58 a.m.

Deputies were requested to locate a vehicle with an intoxicated driver leaving the City of Prescott. The vehicle was located at the female’s residence. The female was arrested for OWI by Prescott PD. The female was also cited for Open Intoxicant. 4:11 a.m.

Deputies were dispatched near an address on Hwy. 10 in Ellsworth to check for a suspicious vehicle.

10:25 a.m.

A caller on Hwy. 72 in Ellsworth reported their neighbor lurking near the property line and staring for hours at their house and shed. The caller was fearful the neighbor will try something and wanted the behavior documented.

12:15 p.m.

Deputies responded to 197th St. in Stockholm following the report of a grainery that was possibly broken into. The complainant stated he did not want to report anything but wanted it on record in case anyone else experiences the same problem.

3:50 p.m.

Ellsworth PD was assisted in the 100 block of Evergreen Estates St.

5:47 p.m.

A report of four-wheelers tearing up the gravel on 410th Ave. in Maiden Rock was received. The area was checked, and a female subject was spoken with. The town chair was informed of the findings.

8:17 p.m.

Deputies responded to the area of 1185th St. in River Falls for a disorderly subject. The complainant stated the male subject was intoxicated and uncooperative. After arriving on scene, information was collected, and the male party was given a courtesy ride to Stillwater.

11:12 p.m.

A complainant reported two vehicles driving at a high rate of speed. The vehicles were stopped near the intersection of 840th Ave. and Cty. Tk. F in River Falls and warned for their driving behavior.

March 13 1:17 a.m.

A vehicle was observed failing to yield the right of way and almost struck a patrol squad car near the intersection of Elm St. and Main St. in River Falls. The vehicle was stopped and upon further investigation, the driver was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated – 4th Offense.

12:15 p.m.

Deputies responded to an address on 500th Ave. in Hager City for a vehicle theft that took place early that morning.

2:43 p.m.

Deputies responded to the area of 135th Ave. in Bay City for a reported suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was identified to be a gray 2021 Honda Civic hatchback in a photograph. The car reportedly parks on the road for minutes at a time before racing away and has done so many days in a row.

4:53 p.m.

An intoxicated male was reported to be trespassing on other people’s property while walking his dogs in the 200 block of S. Main St. in Elmwood. The subject was not located.

March 7 12:31 a.m.

Deputies responded to an address on Hwy. 65 in Beldenville for an attempted theft. A vehicle was stopped, and statements were collected. The driver was issued a citation for Operating without a License. The bartender was warned for allowing underage subjects in the bar.

4:17 a.m.

A suspicious vehicle was investigated on Hwy. 10 in Maiden Rock.

4:19 a.m.

Two intoxicated individuals were located walking down the middle of Main St. Both were provided a courtesy ride to their residence.

1:42 p.m.

A complainant reported her rainbow flag stolen sometime the previous night from 850th St. in River Falls.

6:27 p.m.

A road sign was reported to have been spray painted on 770th Ave. in River Falls.

9:16 p.m.

A suspicious vehicle was located parked in the back corner of the park on Market St. in Bay City. The driver stated he needed space to think.

9:50 p.m.

A vehicle was stuck in the cemetery driveway near 1160th St. in River Falls. The owner stated he got stuck while visiting a grave right at dusk.
