Apr. 13 4:14 a.m.

An officer responded to River Falls to assist with a vehicle fire on private property.

5:27 a.m.

An officer responded to the area of Hwy. 35 and 375th Ave. for a vehicle slide in. The driver had a preference tow, which came and removed the vehicle. 6:22 a.m.

An officer removed debris from the roadway on County Hwy. FF near Hwy. 29.

12:51 p.m.

An officer waited with a driver that had a flat tire on 770th Ave. near Hwy. 65 until help arrived. 4:37 p.m.

Officers were given information about suspicious subjects on Hwy. 35, but they were not located.

Six subjects contacted the Sheriff’s Department regarding controlled burns. The subjects were advised to contact the town chair for any necessary burn permits and to call back when done burning.

Apr. 14 4:30 a.m.

An officer responded to the intersection of 590th St. and County Hwy. EE for a one vehicle rollover. Upon arrival, it was found that the driver had fled the area. The vehicle was towed. Contact with driver to follow.

10:35 a.m.

An officer received a call of two steer on the roadway. The owner was located getting them into the pasture.

10:45 a.m.

An officer responded to an address in Prescott for an unwanted subject compliant. Upon arriving, it was discovered the subject was living there. The officer remained on scene while the subject removed his property. The subject will be getting the rest of his property some other day.

11:23 a.m.

An officer took a call of a missing black lab on 754th Ave. in Prescott. Nelson was returned safe and sound.

11:24 a.m.

An officer received an anonymous complaint regarding a bar in Bay City possibly being open for more than just takeout orders. Upon arrival, two males and the owner were at the bar and one male had an alcoholic drink. The bar owner was warned in regard to the Governor’s Order.

3:55 p.m.

A subject lost a ladder from the back of their truck on 1180th St. near Hwy. 35.

4:41 p.m.

An officer received an animal complaint of a cow that was lying down on the ground and could not support its head while standing. After checking on the cows, the officer observed they were all standing and did not appear to have any difficulty supporting their

heads. 5:12 p.m.

An officer assisted RFPD with locating a vehicle possibly involved in a hit and run. Information passed on. 5:34 p.m. An officer responded for a check welfare in Spring Valley. Entry was made into the apartment where the subject was located deceased.

6:10 p.m.

Deputies responded to an alarm in Hager City. Upon checking the building, no sign of entry or reason for alarm were found.

8:23 p.m.

An officer responded to the area of 840th Ave. near River Falls for a report of two people on the complainant’s property possibly trying to steal a car. The officer arrived and noticed no footprints around the vehicle or any portion of the caller’s property.

10:15 p.m.

An officer responded to the 200 block of N. Maple St. in Ellsworth for a suspicious vehicle. The officer made contact with a male party who said he had just arrived to mail a letter.

Ten subjects contacted the Sheriff’s Department regarding controlled burns. The subjects were advised to contact the town chair for any necessary burn permits and to call back when done burning.

Apr. 15 1:43 a.m.

An officer assisted with a K9 search in River Falls.

8:14 a.m.

A subject reported receiving no injuries after hitting and killing a bull with their vehicle.

10:19 a.m.

An officer responded to an address on County Hwy. VV in Hager City for a vandalism complaint. The complainant stated his mailbox had been damaged over the weekend. No known suspect. Upon arriving on scene, the officer collected the information and took pictures.

12:08 p.m.

A subject reported Deer vs. Car issues in the area of 950th St. in River Falls.

12:28 p.m.

An officer was dispatched to an address on 830th St. in Hager City for a report of illegal dumping. The complainant stated electronics were dumped in the dumpster. The complainant was able to get a license plate from the suspect vehicle. Upon attempting contact with the suspect, the officer received no answer.

3:25 p.m.

An officer was dispatched to the 500 block of W. Overlook Dr. to assist Ellsworth PD.

5:41 p.m.

A vehicle was stopped for speed near the intersection of 620th Ave. near Hwy. 10. The driver was unable to provide proof of insurance and given 0 days to provide proof.

9:13 p.m.

An officer assisted moving an inmate in the jail.

Seven subjects contacted the Sheriff’s Department regarding controlled burns. The subjects were advised to contact the town chair for any necessary burn permits and to call back when done burning.

Apr. 16 4:39 a.m.

An officer responded to an address on County Rd. D in Bay City for a subject pounding on the complainant’s door. Upon arriving on scene, the officer cleared the area and was unable to locate the subject.

7:39 a.m.

A vehicle broke down on the side of the road on Hwy. 35 near Hwy. 63 in Hager City. The owner had help coming with some parts.

7:55 a.m.

A large amount of trash/household goods/furniture was dumped at an address near the intersection of 1240th St. and Hwy. 35 in Prescott. The items were traced back to a male suspect who is currently incarcerated in Minnesota on numerous felonies.

2:10 p.m.

Dispatch received an anonymous report of people sitting outside a bar in Beldenville consuming alcohol.

Twelve subjects contacted the Sheriff’s Department regarding controlled burns. The subjects were advised to contact the town chair for any necessary burn permits and to call back when done burning. Apr. 17 1:50 a.m.

An officer responded to Maiden Rock for a domestic. A subject was arrested for felony bail jumping x2, domestic D/C and resisting/obstructing. 2:36 p.m.

An officer responded to 860th St. in Hager City for a boat and trailer that went into the river. Everything was removed.

5:26 p.m.

A complainant reported receiving text messages about a package delivery that were perceived as threatening. An officer made contact with the suspect and it was determined she was texting the wrong phone number.

5:32 p.m.

A driver was stopped and warned for speed near the intersection of 300th St. and Hwy. 10 in Ellsworth.

6:15 p.m.

Dispatch received a report of dogs running on the roadway in the area of 570th Ave. in Beldenville. A voicemail was left with a possible dog owner informing them of laws and to keep the animals off the road.

8:04 p.m.

An officer was dispatched to 840th Ave. in River Falls for a UTV rollover. The driver was transported by EMS and the passenger by private vehicle.

11:23 p.m.

An officer responded to an address on County Hwy. J in Ellsworth for a check welfare regarding a male being drunk and yelling into the phone. Upon checking the residence, all appeared fine. On call back, the complainant reported a juvenile reported possible abuse to school staff in Minnesota one month ago.

25 subjects contacted the Sheriff’s Department regarding controlled burns. The subjects were advised to contact the town chair for any necessary burn permits and to call back when done burning.

Apr. 18 1:08 a.m.

A driver was stopped and cited for speed on County Hwy. QQ near Hwy. 29 in Prescott.

10:23 a.m.

A complainant stated they had willingly given their banking information to people on the phone who claimed to be from Publisher’s Clearing House. An officer advised the caller to contact their financial institution immediately to report the incident and see if any fraudulent activity had occurred yet.

4:01 p.m.

A citation was mailed to a driver who was traveling 99 mph in a 55-mph zone.

4:43 p.m.

An officer assisted EPD and RFPD in locating a female who was discharged from a moving vehicle while in restraints. Statements collected.

5:11 p.m.

An officer was dispatched for a burglary at an address on Hwy. 29 in Spring Valley. Someone cut the locks off the doors of their shed doors and took items.

6:44 p.m.

An officer responded to a business on Hwy. 35 in Maiden Rock following an anonymous complaint of a bar being open. The officer located five customers inside, four of which were seated drinking. This was the first documented violation of the order.

Apr. 19 12:11 a.m.

An officer responded to the intersection of 450th Ave. and County Hwy. C for an anonymous complaint of a drunk driver. The officer checked the area and was not able to locate the vehicle.

12:25 a.m.

An officer responded to the 300 block of Main St. in Plum City for an intoxicated male. While en route, dispatch reported a fight in progress. Interviews were conducted. The male was arrested for child abuse, battery, Disorderly Conduct, criminal trespassing and interfering with 911. The male was released to his parents.

12:35 p.m.

Dispatch took a report of a child abuse that occurred that day and is an ongoing issue. The father was arrested for physical abuse of a child. The child was placed into protective placement.

1:52 p.m.

An officer responded to an address on Hwy. 29 in Spring Valley for four males stealing farm equipment. Upon arrival, there was a civil dispute over machinery at the property. All parties were warned for trespassing, except the owner of a Ford truck. The truck owner had permission to receive the truck.

11:53 p.m.

Deputies were dispatched to an address on Hwy. 29 in Prescott for a verbal disagreement between a mother and daughter over the birthing of cats.
