Failed appearances
A bench warrant was issued for William S. Cook, 30, Spring Valley, when he failed to make a Sept. 26 initial appearance on one count of disorderly conduct and five criminal damage to property charges.
Deferred cases Cole James Borowicz, 32, River Falls, pleaded guilty to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement Sept. 26 on disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) and misdemeanor bail jumping charges. Disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property (domestic abuse) charges were dismissed. The charges resulted from incidents May 15 and Jan. 8.
Cameron James Dickinson, 29, Brooklyn Park, Minn., pleaded guilty to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on a disorderly conduct charge Sept. 26. The charge stemmed from an April 4 incident.
Michael Richard Gilliland, 33, Bay City, pleaded guilty to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on a felony possession of methamphetamine charge Sept. 26. Possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia charges were dismissed. The charges resulted from a May 3 incident.
Christine Marie Ries, 44, Ellsworth, pleaded guilty to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on three misdemeanor bail jumping charges Sept. 21. Felony bail jumping, misdemeanor bail jumping, battery (domestic abuse), felony stalking, disorderly conduct, resisting or obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charges were dismissed. The charges stemmed from incidents Oct. 9 and 23, 2021 and March 11, 2022.
Matthew Daniel Score,
49, River Falls, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement Sept. 26. A battery charge was dismissed. The charges resulted from an Aug. 27, 2021 incident.
Closed cases
A felony stalking charge against Christopher S. Baschnagel, 51, River Falls, was dismissed Sept. 23 upon completion of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement. The charge stemmed from a Sept. 5, 2017 incident.
Mitchel J. Berenschot,
19, Ellsworth, was convicted of disorderly conduct and fined $277.80 Sept. 22. A criminal damage to property charge was dismissed. The charges resulted from a March 27 incident.
Felony bail jumping, possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia charges against Michael Richard Gilliland, 33, Bay City, were dismissed Sept. 26. The charges stemmed from a June 14 incident.
Manuel I. Guaman, 27, Hudson, was convicted of operate without valid license (second within three years) and fined $443 Sept. 26. The charge resulted from an April 21 traffic stop.
Disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) and intimidate victim/dissuade reporting charges against Christopher Terrell Malone,
33, Cottage Grove, Minn., were dismissed Sept. 21. The charges stemmed from a June 25 incident.
Scott Patrick Myers, 42, Prescott, was convicted of two battery (domestic abuse) charges, sentenced to two years’ probation and fined $1,086 Sept. 21. Two felony strangulation and suffocation (domestic abuse), felony bail jumping, intimidate victim/dissuade reporting, three domestic disorderly conduct, and misdemeanor bail jumping charges were read-in but dismissed. The charges resulted from incidents April 3, 2021; April 24, 2021; and May 2, 2022.
Peter Jeffrey Manuche Olson, 20, Red Wing, Minn., was convicted of operate without carrying a license and fined $150.10 Sept. 26. The charge stemmed from a March 31 traffic stop.
A theft – movable property charge against Daniel Scott Reetz, 60, Anoka County Jail, Anoka, Minn., was dismissed Sept. 22. The charge resulted from a May 12, 2004 incident.
A disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charge against Christine Marie Ries, 44, Ellsworth, was dismissed Sept. 21. The charge stemmed from a July 6, 2021 incident.
Joseph Frederick Schmidt, 25, Hastings, Minn., was convicted of operating while revoked (alcohol related) and criminal damage to property, sentenced to one year’s probation and fined $886 Sept. 21. Operating while revoked (alcohol related), disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) and six felony bail jumping charges were dismissed. In a separate case, Schmidt was sentenced to three years’ probation and fined $518 after a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on a felony vehicle operator flee/ elude officer charge was revoked. The charges resulted from incidents March 4, 2020; Jan. 12, 2021; May 5, 2021 and Aug. 21, 2021.
A misdemeanor bail jumping charge against Matthew Daniel Score, 49, River Falls, was dismissed Sept. 26. The charge stemmed from an Aug. 31, 2021 incident.
Patrick L. Wright, 52, Ellsworth, was convicted of operate without valid license (second within three years) and OWI-second, sentenced to one year of probation and 15 days in jail (10 days stayed), fined $1,998, and ordered to undergo an alcohol assessment and install an ignition interlock device after a 12-month driver’s license revocation Sept. 21. Misdemeanor bail jumping and operating with PAC charges were dismissed. The charges resulted from incidents June 30, 2021 and April 26.
