Initial appearances Brita Jane Britt, 61, Ellsworth, posted a $10,000 signature bond Aug. 5 on felony possession of methamphetamine (repeater) and possess drug paraphernalia (repeater) charges. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Aug. 23.

Xander F. Brooks, 17, Ellsworth, pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,000 signature bond Aug. 8 on a possession of THC charge. A status conference is slated for 10:30 a.m. Sept. 20.

Tucker Mickail Cady, 33, Elmwood, posted a $50,000 signature bond Aug. 8 on a felony second degree sexual assault/use of force charge. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Sept. 13 Erik Jacob Christensen,

27, Prescott, posted a $10,000 signature bond Aug. 8 on felony take/drive vehicle without consent and misdemeanor bail jumping charges. A preliminary hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. Sept. 13.

Alys Lynn Sue Dearborn, 51, St. Paul Park, Minn., pleaded not guilty and posted a $10,000 signature bond Aug. 8 on resisting or obstructing an officer, criminal damage to property (domestic abuse), battery (domestic abuse) and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charges. A status conference is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Sept. 7.

Wesley John Eitel, 60, River Falls, posted a $10,000 signature bond Aug. 8 on a felony OWI (seventh/eighth/ ninth) charge. A status conference is slated for 11:45 a.m. Aug. 30.

Joshua Brantley Gard,

30, Bay City, pleaded not guilty and posted a $10,000 signature bond Aug. 5 on misdemeanor bail jumping, battery (domestic abuse) and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charges. A status conference is slated for 11:45 a.m. Aug. 16.

Peter Matthew Gorton, 46, River Falls, posted a $10,000 signature bond Aug. 8 on a felony child abuse – intentionally cause harm charge. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 4 p.m. Sept. 19.

Douglas Edward Hanson, 71, Somerset, pleaded not guilty and posted a $2,500 signature bond Aug. 8 on OWI-second, operating with PAC-second and misdemeanor bail jumping charges. A status conference is slated for 1:45 p.m. Sept. 27.

Everette Dale Sarnstrom, 36, Hager City, posted a $10,000 signature bond Aug. 5 on felony possession of methamphetamine and possess drug paraphernalia charges. A preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Sept. 20.

Hailey Nichol Marquardt- Smith, 17, Prescott, pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,000 signature bond Aug. 8 on a disorderly conduct charge. A status conference is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sept. 27.

Tyler J. Smith, 18, Rochester, Minn., pleaded not guilty and was ordered to pay $200 cash bond on possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia charges. A status conference is slated for 1:15 p.m. Sept. 19.

Roger Roy Thomas, 75, Red Wing, Minn, posted a $10,000 signature bond Aug. 8 on a felony vehicle operator flee/elude officer charge. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sept. 9.

Chace Allen Williams,

27, Red Wing, Minn., pleaded not guilty and posted a $2,500 signature bond Aug. 8 on criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct charges. A status conference is set for 3:45 p.m. Sept. 7.

Winona J. Wells, 34, Welch, Minn., posted a $2,500 signature bond Aug. 8 on two misdemeanor bail jumping (repeater) and two violate/harassment restraining order – injunction (repeater) charges Aug. 8. Wells also posted a $10,000 signature bond on felony bail jumping (repeater), possess drug paraphernalia (repeater) and two misdemeanor bail jumping (repeater) charges. A status conference and preliminary hearing are both scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Sept. 20.

Deferred cases Frank Elverum, 34, River Falls, was convicted of disorderly conduct and fined $277.80 Aug. 5. He pleaded guilty to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on a felony strangulation and suffocation (domestic abuse) charge. The charges resulted from a Nov. 14 incident.

Closed cases Beau Austin Allyn, 33, Red Wing, Minn., was convicted of operate without carrying a license and fined $277.80 Aug. 5. The charge stemmed from a traffic stop Dec. 23, 2018.

Brita Jane Britt, 61, Ellsworth, waived extradition Aug. 5.

Jeremy James Fleming,

43, Prescott, was convicted of disorderly conduct and fined $250 Aug. 8. The charge resulted from an April 24 incident.

Robert Lee Hulne, 46, Prescott, was convicted of operate without carrying a license and fined $277.80 Aug. 4. The charge stemmed from a June 16 traffic stop.

Antonio David O’Brien,

26, Menomonie was convicted of operate without valid license (second within three years, repeater) and fined $443 Aug. 5. The charge resulted from an April 1 traffic stop.

Kane Terrance Olenchak,

48, St. Paul, was convicted of felony possession of methamphetamine, sentenced to one year or probation and fined $518 Aug. 3. Possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia charges were dismissed. The charges stemmed from an Aug. 6, 2020 incident.

James J. Oricchio, 51, Ellsworth, was convicted of two disorderly conduct charges and fined $555.60 Aug. 5. The charges resulted from a July 18 incident at the Gas Lite.

Josiah J. Pease, 38, Baldwin, was convicted of OWIthird Aug. 5, sentenced to 125 days in jail (65 days stayed), fined $1,744, and ordered to install an ignition interlock device for two years after a two-year driver’s license revocation. An operating with PAC-third charge was dismissed. The charges stemmed from a Sept. 26 traffic stop.

Ryan Lee Reynolds, 30, Bay City, was found not guilty at a jury trial Aug. 4 of felony bail jumping, felony strangulation and suffocation (domestic abuse), battery (domestic abuse) and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse). The charges resulted from a Dec. 25, 2020 incident.

Tony Rocha, 46, Baldwin, was convicted of felony intimidate victim/threaten force and three felony battery or threat to judge, law enforcement officer or prosecutor charges Jan. 6; on Aug. 4, he was sentenced to three years in prison and three years of extended supervision and fined $2,072. On Jan. 6, felony possess firearm – convicted of outof- state felony, felony child abuse – intentionally cause harm, felony strangulation and suffocation, felony resist officer/substantial bodily harm/soft tissue injury, battery, intentionally mistreat animals, and two disorderly conduct charges were read-in but dismissed. The charges stemmed from a July 27, 2020 incident.

An operate firearm while intoxicated charge against John Allen Smith, 57, Hastings, Minn., was dismissed Aug. 5 upon completion of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement. The charge stemmed from a June 14, 2020 incident.

A contempt of court – disobey order charge against Charlotte Marie Steenberg, 38, St. Paul, was dismissed Aug. 5 upon completion of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement. The charge resulted from a March 31 incident in Ellsworth.

Steven Vang, 37, Minneapolis, waived extradition to Minnesota Aug. 5.
