PLUM CITY CARE CENTER

Monday delivered music loving folks to the dining room for a good old fashioned sing-a-long. The oldies are the favorites and especially the “Tennessee Waltz”. We waltzed our way into lunch and soon mail was delivered while some folks enjoyed sitting outside. After some “down” time, Stacey was scurrying about with bowls of popcorn for us. A nice mid-afternoon snack! There was enough time left to challenge each other in a friendly game of bean bags.

Everyone was out to chal- lenge the rst place champ

(four, yes, FOUR weeks in a row), Shirley Klinkski. This week’s winners were: 4th place: Irene Converse. 3rd place: Alvin Bergmark. 2nd place: Shirley Klinski. First place champ this week was (drum roll), Beryl Anderson!

Tuesday brought tunes, as in Name That Tune, rst on

the agenda. Laura makes it tough on us, sometimes only playing a few notes. However, we can usually come up with a few lyrics to get us started and the title will soon follow.

Our tune winners this week were: 5th place with two cor- rect guesses: Lou Seyuer. 4th

place with six correct guesses: Hazel Berger. 3rd place with eight correct guesses: Barb Smith. 2nd place with seventeen correct guesses: Shirley Klinski. 1st place top nisher

with a whopping 23 correct guesses: Mary Ellen Coulson!

Jessica delivered snacks and mail just before we played Pokeno. Everyone earned candy rewards and big winners this week were: Richard Jarosinski and George Komro.

Wednesday wandered in with our work out crew, ready to exercise with “Sit Down Dancing”. Some attend just for the great music, but the rewards go beyond with great cardio movements. We worked up an appetite for lunch and afterward we had some time to ourselves to sit outdoors, read the newspapers, or take a little nap. Soon, Stacey and Laura set up bingo and in no time, the dining room was full and everyone was winning candy! Black out winners this week were Zeona Bechel and Alice Girard . Thursday thundered in with bowlers and our own Ms. Marilyn to keep score. With the Beach Boys in the background, our bowlers played three rounds. Winners this week were: 4th place: Ron Hermundson. 3rd place: Alvin Bergmark. 2nd place: Shirley Klinski, Beryl Anderson, Rosie Schreiner. 1st place champ: Zeona Bechel (week 2). Lunch was served and mail was delivered. Jessica arrived to spend the afternoon giving manicures and delivering the new August calendar. My, how the months go by! Friday’s festivities began with the drumming group banging out songs while rocking and rolling. We have such a good time making up rhythms and playing along to great, upbeat songs. The after- noon ouered mail delivery and

some patio time. Happy hour arrived right on time with the

invasion of pink amingos

for Flamingo Day! Everyone looked fantastic in pink and enjoyed pink ice cream and a couple pink amingos danc ing in everyone’s room. We also discovered that pink is not just for ladies! Our gents were all decked out in their own pink and were as handsome as ever. It was another fun happy hour in the books!

Saturday brought another day full of sun but the threat of storms. We appreciate that we are in a safe place with our friends during inclement weather. Popcorn treats helped us pass the time until a game of Bucket Ball began. Winners were: 4th place: Marilyn Heath. 3rd place: Richard Jarosinski. 2nd place: Beryl An- derson. 1st place: Lou Seyuer.

On Sunday morning, ev-

eryone was ouered the oppor tunity to worship through their particular church service on television. Later in the afternoon, Jessica delivered snacks and drinks to everyone! A fun time of trivia ended the afternoon. Be smart, stay safe, and we hope to see you soon!

Jeannie McDonough was so pretty in pink as we celebrated Flamingo Day!

Pink is not just for ladies as our stylish Lyle Snyder demonstrates here.

Not sure which one is the

amingo or which one is

Shirley Klinski???

We found Fred the Flamingo hitching a ride on Ivan Mason.

It’s nice to have your daughter working here! Shown here is Fred the Flamingo, Nurse Tammy Gansluckner with mom, Mary Nelson.
