Throughout the week, the care center unfortunately had to cancel all regularly scheduled activities due to illness. But we didn’t let that stop us from having fun in any way we safely could! Activities staff definitely had plenty of time to chat and visit with folks throughout the week; sometimes all you need is someone to lend you an ear and offer you a smile!

Activities staff brought smiles galore on Tuesday as we filled our cart with individual bags of freshly popped popcorn to pass out; and on Wednesday residents had the opportunity to play “Spin the Wheel!” to win fabulous prizes of candy, fruit and quarters! In-room manicures were still offered to all the ladies on Thursday and some chose this day to switch up their signature colors and add some sparkles to chase away those gray and dreary autumn days outside. Who doesn’t love a little color to brighten up their day?  And even though we couldn’t gather for a musical happy hour on Friday afternoon, Stacey and Noel donned fabulous inflatable flamingo costumes, loaded up carts with pink Rice Krispie treats and pink punch and went room to room for a “Flamingo Friday: In-Room Happy Hour. Folks sure got a kick out of the funny flamingos and even got in on the fun themselves by dressing up in a profusion of pink to have their pictures taken!
