Another week. A few more Covid cases. And many more weary residents tired of having to stay in their rooms. However, visitors are still allowed and we encourage you to stop by. It is a beautiful weather week for outdoor visits and your presence would definitely be a highlight of many of our folks.

Lemonade and cookies are always close by!

We are thankful that our Covid cases are mild and a few of our Covid inmates have done their time and have been released from “Covid jail” as they like to refer to it.

Covid did not keep us from recognizing and celebrating National Nursing Assistant Week. Karee and Patty treated us to special snacks and meals during the week, while Nursing Assistants were encouraged to join the fun with “dress-up” days. A shout out to Kassandra Pelletier for dressing up EVERY day!

Independent activities have kept our seniors somewhat busy between meals. Many folks enjoy painting, small craft kits, word searches, reading, and watching the Brewers or favorite television shows. Others enjoy a chat, being read to, a walk around the building, or reading cards and letters from family and friends.

Friday’s Happy Hour was recognition of June as Dairy Month! Cows were spotted throughout the building and in resident’s rooms. The music of “Green Acres”, “Cattle Call” and “John Deere Green” filtered through the halls. Everyone munched on fresh cheese curds complements of Berry and Adele White.

We are looking forward to more time out- doors and enjoying our flower beds and the critters that wander into our backyard daily.

We hope you might consider joining us to sit for a spell. See you soon!
