Parker Bechel and Kali Brunner were representatives of Plum City American Legion Post and Unit #365 at Badger Boys State Convention in Eau Claire and Badger Girl State Convention in Oshkosh. Both will be seniors at Plum City High School.
Imagine spending six days learning all aspects of local, county and state government, including elections, running for and campaigning for public office. These students did that starting at 7 a.m. with long days sometimes ending at 11 p.m.
To quote Bechel, “It was a ton of fun.” Brunner agreed, saying, “It was a lot more fun than I thought it would be.” Besides having fun, they met a lot of new friends from around the state. They know a lot more about how our state is run.
Parker is the son of Chris Bechel and Kimberly Wood. Kali is the daughter of Paul and Shari Brunner.
