ELLSWORTH Police Department Reports

The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department Feb. 21-27.

Monday, Feb. 21 Mark Nehring, 43, Elmwood, was arrested for a probation violation at 4:11 p.m. at 310 W. Main St. He was transported to Pierce County Jail without incident.

Police assisted EMS at 5 p.m. at 429 W. Wayne St., where a woman had fallen and hit her head and was bleeding.

Officers responded at 9:47 p.m. to 183 Evergreen Estates St. for a domestic situation. A woman reported a man had left the residence after an argument and returned with others. She was worried they would try to kick her out. The officer explained the eviction process and all parties were told to separate for the evening to cool down. Police were called at 10:38 p.m. to 191 Evergreen Estates St. for a domestic. Chace Williams, 27, Ellsworth, and Cody Williams, 27, Ellsworth, were both arrested for domestic disorderly conduct Tuesday, Feb. 22

A caller reported a loose yellow lab at 2:44 p.m. on his property at 159 N. Maple St. The same dog had been picked up Feb. 17 and was not licensed. The officer transported the dog to its residence and its owner, Robert Myhre, 53, Ellsworth, was cited.

A caller requested a welfare check at 11:30 p.m. at 621 S. Piety St. Police checked the residence and everything appeared fine.

Wednesday, Feb. 23

At 8:09 p.m., a caller at 141 S. Maple St. reported seeing a suspicious man wearing a stocking cap, black pants and coat, and a backpack. The man was gone when police arrived. No one matching the description was found in the area.

Thursday, Feb. 24 Kayla Wilbur, 29, Spring Valley, was arrested at 1:40 p.m. at 310 W. Main St. for a probation violation. She was transported to Pierce County Jail without incident.

Police were called at 9:24 p.m. to 165 E. Susan St. for a welfare check after a domestic argument. All parties involved were fine.

Officers received a complaint at 11:56 p.m. of someone banging on and kicking a door at 370 W. Main St. The caller reported someone let them in before police arrived. The area was checked and all appeared to be okay.

Friday, Feb. 25

Police responded at 11:56 a.m. to 165 E. Susan St. for a welfare check on a possibly suicidal male. The man said he was moving out and had brought a garden hose into the house while packing. The complainant confirmed the man hadn’t made any suicidal statements. Help was offered to all parties involved several times.

Saturday, Feb. 26

Police arrested Chace Williams, 27, Ellsworth at 1:07 a.m. for a bail jumping/bond violation at 191 Evergreen Estates St. Officers were asked to perform a welfare check at 8:36 p.m. at 504 W. Crosstown Road. The person was fine.

Police performed a welfare check at 9:03 p.m. at 217 S. Piety St. where a man had allegedly been making concerning statements. Contact was made with him, and he said he was fine, just angry at his situation.

Sunday, Feb. 27

Police assisted Pierce County Sheriff’s Office with a traffic stop at 12:19 a.m. at North Maple Street and West Overlook Drive.

Officers were asked to perform a welfare check at 9:41 p.m. at 241 N. Bourbon Circle. Everything was okay.
