Four of the six people present were underage and admitted to consuming alcohol. Monday, Jan. 16

At 9:24 a.m., police were called to 214 N. Winter St. where a vehicle had been struck overnight. The striking vehicle was still parked in the middle of the road. A legally parked 2006 Dodge Caravan, owned by Daniel Antonio Rivera, River Falls, had been struck by 2009 Dodge Caliber, driven by Austin Alan Dudrey, 26, River Falls. It appeared Dudrey was driving north on North Winter Street just north of West Maple Street when he veered off the road onto the shoulder and struck the back of the Dodge Caravan, which was parked in front of Rivera’s residence. The vehicle was unoccupied and police requested a tow, since it was blocking traffic. They also observed an unopened beer bottle in the front console. When police finally reached Dudrey later that day, he denied drinking any alcohol. Both vehicles had disabling damage. Dudrey wore a seat belt and reported no injuries. Three passengers with Dudrey, identified as Nadine Nicole Woskie, 29, River Falls and two men he had just met, all wore seat belts and reported no injuries. Dudrey was cited for $111.40 inattentive driving and $313 for failure of operator to notify police of accident.
