ELLSWORTH Police Department Reports

The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department Dec. 20-27.

Monday, Dec. 20

At 11:55 a.m., an Ellsworth High School student was cited for having possession of a vape pen/e-cig at school on Dec. 17.

Tuesday, Dec. 21 Conner Shonkwiler, 21, Ellsworth, was cited for operating after suspension after a traffic stop for speeding at 7:01 a.m. at South Utility Street and East Bio Avenue.

At 3:28 p.m., police responded to 262 S. Grant St. for a custody dispute.

Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at 6:19 p.m. at 159 Evergreen Estates St. between Ivan Mendez, 20, Ellsworth, and a legally parked Toyota Prius, owned by Deanna Ndebele, 37, Hudson. Mendez was backing out of a driveway and struck the Prius’ driver’s side door, leaving a large dent in the door and damaging the door handle. No injuries were reported.

Wednesday, Dec. 22

Officers assisted EMS as needed at 9:12 a.m. at Ellsworth Middle School (312 Panther Drive).

At 7:54 p.m., officers assisted deputies with a disorderly person being brought to the jail from W7960 370th Ave., Ellsworth.

Friday, Dec. 24

At 7:14 p.m., a woman reported that she and her boyfriend had been threatened by a worker’s brother at Holiday (456 W. Main St.) The woman said she was rushed out of the store because it was closing, and her boyfriend and the clerk had “some words” over it.

Saturday, Dec. 25

Officers responded at 6:54 p.m. to 168 Evergreen Estates St. for a protection order violation.

At 11:09 p.m., police warned residents for being too loud at a Christmas party at 160 W. Hines St. When police were called again, Luis Sacagualan, 31, Ellsworth, was cited for a noise violation.

Monday, Dec. 27

A resident reported fraud at 8:30 a.m. at 271 E. Summit Ave. He said he had never received a Samsung 65-inch 4k curved UHD TV in the mail. Police gave the resident advice on avoiding scams.

Officers assisted EMS at 8:49 a.m. at 265 N. Broadway St.

Police assisted EMS at 11:09 a.m. at 366 W. Main St.

At 2:14 p.m., officers assisted Pierce County deputies with a vehicle in the ditch at 670th Street and 580th Avenue.

At 5 p.m., police assisted EMS as needed at 403 N. Maple St.

Police assisted a driver in removing a vehicle from the roadway at 6:41 p.m. at 103 N. Northview St.
