ELLSWORTH Police Department Reports
The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department Sept. 7-12.
Tuesday, Sept. 7
At 2:04 p.m., a resident at 743 W. Hill St. reported identity theft issues with a Verizon account.
At 4:03 p.m., police assisted a man in getting a vehicle from 410 Cairns St.
Wednesday, Sept. 8
Officers assisted with a property exchange at 11:12 a.m. at 410 Cairns St.
At 11:31 a.m., a caller reported a sick raccoon under a deck at 130 W. Humble Ave.
Officers responded to a twovehicle crash at 6:33 p.m. at Main and Piety streets between
Alec Yarwood, 25, Ellsworth, and Karen Hurtgen, 57, Boyceville. While one attempted to turn south onto Piety Street, the other struck the vehicle from behind. A Kia had minor damage to its rear bumper.
At 8:14 p.m., a resident at 186 Evergreen Estates St. was asked to turn down the music.
At 9:57 p.m., a caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked in front of 350 W. Kinne St. The occupant was talking to a girl with him. No signs of intoxication were observed.
Thursday, Sept. 9
At 8 p.m., a caller wanted it documented that someone had threatened harm to her husband with a gun.
Friday, Sept. 10
Police cited a vehicle owner at 12:59 a.m. at 246 Kruger Lane for parking on the wrong side of the street.
At 1:21 a.m., a caller reported a suspicious van parked at 385 W. Main St. The van was unoccupied and nothing appeared out of the ordinary.
At 11:17 a.m., officers arrested Brandon Johnson, 37, River Falls, at 310 W. Main St. for a probation violation. At 3:23 p.m., an individual at Ellsworth Community School District said someone had accessed their Snapchat and posted unauthorized images.
At 3:34 p.m., a noise complaint was made about an ongoing issue in the 900 block of Hilden Drive. The resident promised to fix the issue.
Officers arrested John Adrian, 43, Ellsworth, at 173 S. Grant St. for battery and disorderly conduct after he allegedly threw a beer can at someone and it cut their head.
Saturday, Sept. 11
At 9:23 a.m., someone reported kids walking down Crest Lane with a construction sign. Police later found the sign behind 600 Crest Lane. Public Works picked up the sign.
At 1:04 p.m., a complainant reported that someone had stolen a Yamaha dirtbike from the garage at 232 W. Strickland St.
