ELLSWORTH Police Department Reports

The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department Aug. 2-8.

Aug. 2

At 3:47 p.m., a complainant reported a lost Apple iPhone 8 (white in color) near the bus garage or ball fields.

At 10:05 p.m., vandalism was found at the men’s bathroom at Summit Park. The toilet was clogged with a wooden paddle and an excessive amount of toilet paper.

Aug. 3

At 9:57 a.m., a complainant reported that it looked like a semi and trailer had pulled into 403 N. Maple St. to turn around and struck two signs. One post was broken and a sign knocked off another post. Damage was estimated at $150. No video surveillance was available.

Steven Freund, 30, Hager City, was cited for operating without a valid license after at traffic stop for an unregistered vehicle at 456 W. Main St.

Aug. 5 At 1:23 p.m., Alisa Price, 40, River Falls, was arrested for a probation violation at 310 W. Main St. She was transported to jail without incident.

At 3:15 p.m., Ashland Johannsen, 25, Maiden Rock, was arrested for a probation violation at 310 W. Main St. She was transported to jail without incident.

At 8:40 p.m., officers helped Pierce County deputies with an OWI stop at 450th Avenue and County Road C.

Aug. 6

At 5:25 a.m., police received a request to document an incident at 301 N. Main St. in case it’s needed for a worker’s compensation claim. An employee was trying to help a man to sleep when he got spooked and kicked at her.

At 10:35 a.m., Coby McKinley, 28, Red Wing, Minn., was arrested for a probation violation at 310 W. Main St.

At 10:50 a.m., police found a longboard/skateboard in Summit Park. They put it in the lost and found.

At 12:50 p.m., officers assisted a Pierce County deputy with a subject resisting at 414 W. Main St.

At 7:01 p.m., a group of kids at Ellsworth Elementary field flagged down an officer. They needed another player for their soccer game.

Aug. 7

Aug. 8

At 2:14 a.m., police saw a man run from Main Street into the woods near Dar Street, then run from Common Man Tap & Table west down the alley behind the Department of Motor Vehicles. The man told police he became nervous when he saw police; he was leaving a friend’s house. He was told not to run from law enforcement in the future.

At 2:31 a.m., police received a burglary in progress complaint from 423 W. Overlook Drive. When police arrived, a man in the garage told police he was the complainant’s mother’s boyfriend. The complainant, once informed, said it was okay for him to be there.

Aniradh Mallem, 30, Rochester, Minn., was cited for speeding and operating without a valid license after a traffic stop for speeding at 11:36 a.m. at Golf Course Lane and North Maple Street.

At 12:25 p.m., police received a theft complaint concerning a blue Murray mountain bike, which had been taken sometime after 10:50 p.m. from where it was leaning against a house. The bike’s owner found it beneath a deck area near Broz and Snowball’s in the East End.
