PRESCOTT Police Department Reports

The following incidents were reported to Prescott Police Department July 25 through Aug. 1.

July 25 Travis Allen Helvick, 54, Apple Valley, Minn., was cited for a parking violation at 1:17 p.m. at Broad and Kinnickinnic streets.

Earl Glenn Kelly, 79, Woodbury, Minn., was cited for a parking violation and a handicapped parking violation at 1:39 p.m. at Front and Ash streets.

Marcos Rubio Varela, 69, St. Paul, was cited for a parking violation at 1:39 p.m. at Front and Ash streets.

Rahim Lynnard Shaka,

34, Minneapolis, was cited for a parking violation at 1:39 p.m. at Front and Ash streets.

At 11:57 p.m., police checked 161 Tower Road for a suspicious vehicle, which was not located.

July 26

At 10:53 a.m., police checked a building and Oak and Court streets for suspicious activity. At 3:33 p.m., a vandalism complaint was reported at Freedom Park (200 Monroe St.) At 5:43 p.m., a vehicle tipped over in the Marathon (1120 Highway 10) parking lot. The driver was okay.

Steven Jerome Burch, 38, Hastings, Minn., was arrested on a warrant at 5:55 p.m. at Marathon (1120 Highway 10). He was taken to Pierce County Jail.

A 17-year-old Hager City juvenile was cited for retail theft – intentionally take at 8:09 p.m. at Marathon (1120 Highway 10).

July 27

At 8:27 a.m., police checked on a suspicious vehicle at 1445 N. Acres Road.

Marcello Andrade Florencio, 39, Minneapolis, was cited for speeding and operating without a valid driver’s license after a traffic stop at 9:38 p.m. in the 200 block of Broad Street.

At 9:42 p.m., police investigated suspicious activity at 177 Lawrence St. A driver was cited for operating without a valid driver’s license (second) and operating motor vehicle without insurance.

July 28 Kelly Lynn Stanke Hallmark, 51, Cedarburg, was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 5:40 p.m. at Canton Road and River Terrace Street.

Linda Joan Sitting Dog,

32, Prescott, was cited for operating without a valid driver’s license, operating a motor vehicle without insurance and failure to stop after a traffic stop at 7:17 p.m. at Hope and Hilton streets.

Windy Ann Stricker, 28, Prescott, was cited for failure to wear a seat belt and operating without a valid driver’s license after a traffic stop at 7:39 p.m. in the 600 block of Pine Street.

Travis Jerome Horning,

30, Hastings, Minn., was arrested on a warrant and possession of THC after police saw him walking at 8:45 p.m. in the 600 block of Canton Street.

July 29

At 1:46 a.m., five people were warned for being on the beach after hours at 805 Lake St.

At 3:47 a.m., police saw fireworks erupting from the 1100 block of Canton Street. They could not determine where they were coming from.

A hit-and-run motor vehicle accident was reported at 7:45 p.m. at 408 Lake St.

A suspicious vehicle was reported at 9:30 p.m. at 1003 Campbell St.

July 30

At 7:41 a.m., a person flagged police down, concerned about a man sleeping in a car in the 200 block of Broad Street.

At 5:26 p.m., a woman said her ex tried to run her off the road in the 200 block of Broad Street.

Trevor Stephen Klein, 35, Minneapolis, was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 7:49 p.m. at Jefferson and Monroe streets.

July 31 Brian Dwayne O’Neal,

25, Ellsworth, was arrested on a warrant after police responded at 12:04 a.m. to 117 Broad St. for a drug complaint.

At 9:21 a.m., police received a call about an abducted child. PCSO assisted. The child was located safe with its mother in Minnesota.

Joseph Daniel Young, 37, Prescott, was arrested on a warrant after a traffic stop at 1:57 p.m. at 156 Campbell St.

William Charles Bergmann, 62, Roseville, Minn., was cited for speeding and open intoxicants in car after a traffic stop at 9:39 p.m. at Broad and Kinnickinnic streets.

At 9:49 p.m., a disorderly person was reported at 114 Broad St. The person went home.

Aug. 1

At 2:58 a.m., suspicious activity was reported at 800 Canton St.

Brandon James Bleyle,

28, Hastings, Minn., was cited for operating without a valid driver’s license after an off-road mini bike traffic stop at 8:12 a.m. at Cherry and Dakota streets.

At 1:20 p.m., police warned a group of people not to smoke or drink at the beach at 805 Lake St.

At 6:21 p.m., a hit-and-run vehicle crash was reported in the 200 block of Broad Street.

At 8:38 p.m., police received a complaint of drunk people at Front and Ash streets. They were gone when police arrived.

At 10:08 p.m., police responded to a hit-and-run vehicle crash at 117 Broad St. None of the vehicles involved were located.

Cuong Quac Hang, 38, Gretna, was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 11:31 p.m. at Jefferson Street and 570th Avenue.
