PRESCOTT – Power of 100-Prescott members selected St. Joseph Schools as their Spring 2026 Impact Winner on Wednesday, April 29. Once all 138 member contributions are received, the school will be awarded $13,800 to support a much-needed remodeling project beginning at the end of May.

The 67-year-old building, which serves about 120 students in K-6, plus 30 in 4K, is showing its age and needs updates to ensure the continued safety, health and comfort of students and staff.

The campaign will fund essential improvements, including:

  • Exterior facade renovation using modern, insulated materials to enhance safety, energy efficiency, and classroom comfort
  • HVAC system upgrades to improve air quality and temperature control
  • Asbestos remediation to eliminate long-standing health hazards
  • A new roof to protect facilities and reduce long-term maintenance costs
  • LED lighting installation throughout the original building to reduce energy consumption
  • A redesigned, secure main entrance to further protect students and staff

The group also had the opportunity to hear from two other impactful organizations:

  • Rhino’s Foundation supports individuals undergoing cancer treatment. If you know someone who may benefit, you can request financial assistance here: https://rhinosfoundation.org/request-donation
  • Family Resource Center of St. Croix Valley offers support to parents and caregivers of children prenatal through kindergarten, including educational classes, home visits, and financial resources. If you know someone in Pierce County that could use this support, referrals can be made here: https://frcscv.org/referral-form/

The Prescott Foundation also gave a $500 matching grant to both the Rhino's Foundation and the Family Resource Center of St. Croix Valley, as our members also gave to these charities.

If anyone is interested in joining the Power of 100 Women Prescott they can go to website:  https://powerof100prescott.godaddysites.com/

In just four events, the group has raised more than $80,000 for local charities.
