PPCS employees support Gift Box Program

ELLSWORTH –Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services (PPCS) and its employees are making this Christmas a little merrier for a Pierce County family through the Ellsworth Gift Box Program.

Participating employees chose ornaments from the co-op’s Gift Box tree, with each ornament listing a gift item for individual family members. Gifts were wrapped, labeled, and delivered for distribution by the Ellsworth Gift Box Program.

“As your local electric cooperative, our commitment goes beyond keeping the lights on. Pierce Pepin employees are your friends and neighbors, dedicated to making their communities stronger,” said Nate Boettcher, PPCS president and CEO. “What better way than to reach out and give a hand up to those who have fallen on hard times, especially during this time of year.”

PPCS also opened its facility for use as the program’s drop off and pick up location. Volunteers from the Gift Box Program used the PPCS back garage from Monday, Dec. 13 through Wednesday, Dec. 15 as a drive-thru site.

PPCS has been able to demonstrate its concern for community through support of the Pierce County Gift Box program since 2009.
