ELLSWORTH – For the 14th year in a row, Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services (PPCS) employees have embraced the spirit of giving during the holiday season by adopting a family through the Ellsworth Gift Box Program.
In December, participating employees chose ornaments from the co-op’s Gift Box tree, with each ornament listing a gift item for individual family members. Gifts were wrapped, labeled, and delivered for distribution by the Ellsworth Gift Box program. PPCS also opened its facility for use as the Gift Box program’s drop-off and pick-up location, making its back garage available to program volunteers from Monday through Wednesday, Dec. 11-13, as a drive-thru site.
President and CEO Nate Boettcher expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, emphasizing the cooperative's commitment to community.
"At Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services, we recognize the importance of giving back to the communities we serve. Our employees have wholeheartedly embraced adopting a family through the Gift Box Program, demonstrating our commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of our neighbors, especially during this special time of year," said Boettcher.
