At the regular meeting of the Prescott City Council on Monday, Nov. 13, the council recognized the Prescott High School girls’ golf team for its commitment and dedication as they serve as role models for the future of the girls’ golf program.
The council honored the team and their coaches for their “hard work, dedication, sportsmanship, talent and exceptional team chemistry” that enabled them to earn their fourth consecutive Division 2 state championship. The council stated winning four straight Division 2 titles has made a great impact on Prescott High School and the community and has brought honor to the city on the local and state levels.
Mayor Robert Daugherty commended the 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 girls’ golf teams for their tireless efforts and achievements. Coaches Chad Salay and Darren Reiter were in attendance to accept the official proclamation.
