Prescott Community Club Student of the Week: Abby Stubbe

The Prescott Community Club Student of the Week for Oct. 25 is sophomore Abby Stubbe, nominated by teacher Tania Novak.

“Abby is an outstanding ELA student,” Novak said. “She always maintains a positive demeanor, proper discipline, and an admirable work ethic. Abby is a born leader who is not afraid to take charge, and her enthusiasm and passion for learning is evident in all she does. She is well-deserving of being recognized as an exceptional PHS student, as her determination and success is going to take her far in life.”

Abby’s parents are Brad Stubbe and Robyn Stubbe. She has worked at Ptacek’s IGA for two years and volunteered to help coach soccer camps for two years. She enjoys listening to music, cooking, writing her own stories, reading, lifting weights, hanging out with her introverted cat, buying too many shoes, and being outside when it is fall.

“I was involved in volleyball, but this year I tried cross-country for the first time,” Stubbe said. “I am also joining the musical for the second time. I am doing my second year of Speech this year, and I am involved with the new One Act competition this fall.”

Stubbe plans to attend a four-year university after high school.

“I have not yet decided what school I want to go to nor have I decided what I want to be,” Stubbe said. “However, I am okay with this because I know I will soon find what I am passionate about, and I will find the kind of person I want to be when I am older.”
