The Prescott Community Club Student of the Week is Prescott High School sophomore Alex Smith-Pete, nominated by math teacher Kayla Kinneman.
“I met Alex for the first time last year when he was a freshman, and I could tell right away that he was a very bright student,” Kinneman said. “Fast forward to this year, I am fortunate enough to have Alex as a student once again. The amount of growth, both academically and personally, that has occurred over the course of the past year is truly amazing. I have really enjoyed getting to know Alex better and am still impressed with his out of the box thinking about challenging problems, his perseverance and hard work, and his desire to truly understand concepts and analyze his errors. Keep doing fantastic things, Alex!”
Alex is the son of Renee Smith and Daniel Pete. He enjoys reading and games. He is looking forward to his high school graduation in two years.
