The Prescott Community Club Student of the Week for April 16 is Prescott High School sophomore Brody West, nominated by music teacher Jason Canfield.
“Brody is a member of the HS Garage Band. Brody can be seen in the band room several times a day playing guitar and singing, not only during class, but also during his free time,” Canfield said. “When I ask students to work on music, Brody is always ready and excited to do so. He is extremely talented, but it’s his joy of learning and curiosity to explore music that is most impressive. On a leadership note, Brody is always willing to help with any task without hesitation. Brody is a student who makes teaching seem easy, self-motivated and very engaged. I feel Brody has the mindset and passion to continue creating and performing music throughout his life.”
Brody is the son of Paula Kramer and Marcus West. He works at Ptacek’s deli and is a member of the high school cross country, wrestling, golf and trap shooting teams. He enjoys playing guitar, fishing, camping and golf. He plans to attend college, possibly to become a pilot.
