The Prescott Community Club Student of the Week for March 11 is Prescott High School senior Hannah Schommer, nominated by social studies teacher Mandy Bernick.
“Hannah was selected as Kiwanis Student of the Week because she is a conscientious student and has always strived to go above and beyond in her assignments for my classes,” Bernick said. “I have had the privilege of teaching Hannah in three elective courses during her junior and senior years at PHS. I have watched Hannah grow as a writer in those courses, learn more about herself through self-reflection, and become more of a critical thinker about the world we live in. It has been a pleasure to work with Hannah.”
Hannah is the daughter of Brad and Tiffany Schommer. She is involved in the National Honors Society, Book Club and PHS basketball team. She works at the Harbor Hotel and participates in AAU basketball. She also enjoys reading and going on walks when it’s nice outside. She plans to attend a four-year university and major in elementary education.
