The Prescott Community Club Student of the Week for Nov. 30 is Prescott High School sophomore Lucas Maier, nominated by math teacher Bryce McCauley.
“Lucas has been a standout student this year in Geometry throughout the first two months of the school year,” said McCauley. “He frequently participates in our whole class discussions, jumps into leadership roles within group settings including helping other students, and treats everyone in class with respect. There is no doubt that our class as a whole is better because of the contributions that Lucas brings to class every day.”
Lucas is the son of Paul Maier and Brianna Heschke. He participates on the wrestling team and milks cows and farms. Farming is his hobby. He hopes to pursue a career after graduation as a truck driver, veterinarian or farmer.
