The Prescott Community Club Student of the Week for Jan. 1 is Prescott High School senior Luke Kinneman, nominated by tech ed teacher Kyle Schmidt.
“Luke Kinneman was one of the most raw students we had coming into his freshmen year,” Schmidt said. “Coming into his senior year, he has been the most reliable, consistent, hardworking student who understands the power of listening first and asking questions when absolutely needed. He often solves problems on his own and correctly before asking a question. When his job is done he is instantly onto the next task without a pause or thought. His persistence and positive attitude will take him far in life. Luke has been trusted to be trained as our number one mill operator and has milled 85% of our $25,000 offset lumber project this year. He is coachable, modest and one of the most mentally and emotionally tough students I’ve seen. The Tech Ed department greatly appreciates everything he has done for our program. He cannot be forgotten!”
Luke is the son of Beth Kinneman and Jon Kinneman. He is a member of the boys golf team and enjoys golfing, working outside and hanging with friends. After graduation, he plans to work or attend tech school.
