The Prescott Community Club Student of the Week for April 9 is Prescott High School junior Makaria Haas, nominated by social studies teacher Rob Glazebrook.
“She has shown excellent work and understanding of the subject to prepare herself for AP World History,” Glazebrook said of Haas. “She is highly motivated to obtain a high score on the AP World History test and works to help others around her improve their abilities.”
Makaria is the daughter of Maria Houck and Israel Haas. The honor roll student is a member of the Student Council and track team. She also works at Twisted Oak Coffee House. She enjoys lifting, hanging out with friends and trying new places to eat. She plans to attend UW-La Crosse to study finance.
