The Prescott Community Club Student of the Week for Sept. 9 is Prescott High School junior Ruby Magee, who was nominated by PHS staff.

Ruby was nominated by PHS Staff to be the WILS Representative last year for her great leadership skills. WILS is a local 501c3 nonprofit volunteer organization that identifies outstanding high school sophomores leaders from throughout Wisconsin and provides them with the opportunity and encouragement to recognize and develop their leadership potential. The students selected to attend are provided this opportunity because they have demonstrated themselves to be responsible citizens in their community and thoughtful individuals in their school. In our society, a great deal of attention and media exposure is given to young adults who act negatively. WILS is set up to provide recognition and growth opportunities to students who act positively and acknowledge that we value their contributions made now and those they will make in the future.

Ruby is the daughter of ReAnna and Chris Magee. She is a St. Joseph Church cantor and server to loves music, running, theatre, traveling, reading and fishing.

Ruby is a member of the PHS cross country and track teams, along with the A Capella Choir, Community Service Club, Inclusivity Club, Musical, National Honors Society, Student Council and Honor Roll.

She plans to attend a four-year college for political science with a pre-law track before heading to law school.
