The Prescott Community Club Student of the Week for Nov. 19 is Prescott High School sophomore Sawyer Westma, nominated by Family & Consumer Education/health teacher Angela Boles.
“Sawyer comes to class with a genuine desire to learn,” Boles said. “He is enthusiastic in class and asks questions to learn more. Sawyer is polite and welcoming to his classmates. These qualities make him a great addition to my Family Consumer Science classes both in the Child Development courses and the Foods courses.
Sawyer is the son of Justin Westman and Laura Westman. This honor roll students has served more than 400 hours over two summers as a junior counselor at YMCA Day Camp Spring Lake. He also works in the childcare area at his church on Sundays and during special events.
Sawyer enjoys history, watching football, politics and working with children. He plans to attend Winona State University to become a history teacher.
