The Prescott Community Club Student of the Week for March 12 is Prescott High School sophomore Shannon Erickson, who was nominated by English teacher Allison Langer.
“Shannon Erickson is a positive and intelligent student in my English II class,” Langer said. “She is often helping others with their work before she is finished with her own, which is a testament to her empathy and kindness. Shannon always has a smile, in and out of the classroom. She is a good friend to all, using humor and conversation to make people feel welcome and comfortable. It has been a privilege to work with Shannon in class this year and I cannot wait to see what she accomplishes as a junior next year.”
Shannon is the daughter of Miranda and Adam Erickson. She is a member of the Ski & Snowboard Club and school golf team and enjoys skiing, biking, listening to music, crocheting and hanging out with friends. She plans to work at Afton Alps in the future and complete an internship at the Wolf Center in Ely, Minn.
