The Prescott Community Club Student of the Week for April 3 was Prescott High School freshman Dominic Weise, nominated by band teacher Jason Canfield.
“Dominic is involved in our HS Garage Band,” Canfield said. “He is always eager to play music and is found nearly every morning before school playing guitar outside of the band room, returning to play during his lunch time, then again for Garage Band at the end of the day. Dominic simply enjoys playing music. He is always enthusiastic, curious, respectful, kind and willing to help others. It is great to see such dedication, especially being so intrinsically motivated to learn. I believe music will always be a passion of his. We have so much talent in our bands, having students like Dominic involved makes our jobs exciting and very rewarding!”
Dominic is the child of Luke Weisse and Desiree Weise. He participates in track and field, cross country, trap shooting and Ski & Snowboard Club. He enjoys playing music, camping, fishing and hiking. He hopes to one day become a musician/songwriter and/or carpenter.

The Prescott Community Club Student of the Week for April 10 is Prescott High School junior Carter Allen, nominated by teacher Dylan Larsen.
“Of all my students, Carter shows the most consistent effort day-in and day-out,” Larsen said. “He’s friendly and engaging to his teachers and his peers. Once, he volunteered to help another student organize all their work to turn in; this was no small task and Carter helped without a single complaint. I can count on Carter for a smile and a ‘can do’ attitude.”
Carter is the son of Joseph Allen. He works at Dollar General and enjoys cars. He plans to attend CVTC in the future.
