The Prescott Community Club selected Prescott High School senior Si Hanson as the Student of the Week for Sept. 24. He was nominated by English teacher Allison Pasiuk.

“Si Hanson is by far one of the kindest students I have ever had the pleasure of teaching,” Pasiuk said. “His positive attitude, genuine kindness and general approachability make him easy to talk to and befriend quickly. Even when Si faces challenges, he has a consistent smile and positive attitude. Though it is early in the school year, I can see that Si is in for a successful senior year and I cannot wait to see what he does post graduation.”

Si is the son of Si Hanson II and Jennifer Hanson. He is a member of the yearbook staff and cross country and track teams.

“I was offered to be a Group Leader in the Prescott Leadership assembly; that was a great experience getting to know and talk to kids and talk to them about courage and what it takes to be your own person,” Hanson said. “This past summer I worked for my buddy’s dad’s company installing solar panels around the Twin Cities area. I plan on running cross country and track this year, and I haven't ever done either. It's my last year here though so I'm going to leave it all out there.”

Hanson loves all kinds of music and enjoys spending time with friends, watching movies or just chilling.

“When I get out of school I plan on going back to my job putting up solar panels, then save that money and travel the world. See all the amazing things on the planet,” Hanson said.

The Prescott Community Club Student of the Week for Oct. 1 is PHS sophomore Adara Foulks, nominated by art teacher Anne Kressly.

“Adara is a great student. She works hard and helps others. She is an asset to any class,” Kressley said.

Adara is the daughter of Nick Foulks and Shelley Foulks. She is an honor roll student and member of the volleyball team. She enjoys art, volleyball and doing nails for people. She plans to study marine biology on the East Coast after graduation.
