The Cardinal’s dancers remain dominant!

Prescott’s team of 15 dancers were crowned Middle Border Conference Champions for the 26th year in a row last weekend at the Western Wisconsin Conference Competition hosted by River Falls High School. The team won 1st place in both the Middle Border Pom and Middle Border Jazz events.

“Coach Shirley and I continue _to be amazed with how consistent and driven these athletes are,” Coach Samantha Marks said. “They pay the utmost_attention to detail and are always out to better themselves purely for the sake and prosperity_of the team.”

Like every other sport competing during the coronavirus pandemic, there were a lot of questions about what competitions would look like or if they would be permitted to happen.

“Above all, they are grateful,” Marks said. “Grateful for any and every opportunity, no matter how big or small, they are given to dance this season. This past weekend our parents_were able to join us in the stands, which was such a treat.”

Spectators will not be permitted at this weekend’s Wisconsin Association of Cheer/Pom Coach’s Regional Dance Championships hosted by Hudson High School.
