PRESCOTT Area News
PRESCOTT – The Prescott Speech Team competed at the Steve Sparks Memorial Tournament at Eau Claire North High School on Saturday, Feb. 11. In a field 14 schools, Prescott placed second in the large teams division.
The team was led by Rian Engeldinger who was the tournament champion in Extemporaneous Speaking. In addition to Engeldinger, Prescott teammates also placing included: Addison Huppert (second in Expository Speaking), Will Markert (second in Storytelling), Delia Warp (third in Storytelling), Abby Stubbe (fifth in Informative), Allie Tibayan (fifth in Moments in History), Erica Jennings (fifth in Oratory), and Kinsey Peterson (fifth in Solo Acting Serious). Tibayan also earned a Top Novice Award for earning straight 1s in the preliminary rounds. The team next travels to Menomonie on Feb. 18 for their final invitational of the season.
