Prescott Foundation recently granted $10,000 to the Prescott Area Food Pantry Inc. The grant will go towards additional equipment and needs of the pantry's kitchen, such as a water filtration system, ice machine (plumbing for both), pots, pans, kitchen utensils, commercial racks, equipment stands and carts.
Director and COO Pete French commented, "We're looking forward to serving lunches five days a week to local families with low-moderate income. We're very grateful for Prescott Foundation's participation in seeing that our project is completed and operational as soon as possible."
Currently, the Prescott Area Food Pantry serves approximately 150 families in their grocery area. Many other community members may qualify for support; to verify eligibility please stop by the Prescott Area Food Pantry for an application.
