PRESCOTT – The Prescott Senior Gathering Place (1220 St. Croix St) will be open for activities.
Feb. 21 and Feb. 28 – The last two Mondays in February, Gathering Place will again host Pickleball and walking from 8:30-10 a.m. Check in is at 8:15 a.m.
Tuesday, Feb. 22 – Gathering Place opens at 12:30 p.m. with a book club meeting at 1:30 p.m. The book being discussed this month is “Evidence of V: a novel in fragments, facts, and fictions,” by Sheila O’Connor.
Wednesday, Feb. 23 – Starts with senior cardio strength at 11-11:30 a.m. with chair yoga from 11:35 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. From 12:30-3:30 p.m., meet for Euchre, Bridge or card game of your choice Thursday, Feb. 24 – Gathering Place opens at 12:30p.m. with a speaker at 1 p.m. Joining us this month is Mary Johnson, co-founder of the Pierce- St. Croix Free Clinic. Although most of the Gathering Place patrons are covered by Medicare insurance, not all are eligible yet. The Free Clinic provides medical care for individuals not covered by insurance. Often this is people in between jobs, or those who don’t qualify for their employer’s insurance. You may have friends or family members who qualify for the free clinic. Come find out how to help them and get more information.
