Strong winds Thursday a the Baldwin-Woodville Invitational didn’t slow down the momentum of the Prescott girls golf team, as the varsity team won the title, while the varsity reserve team took fourth overall in a display of just how good this team is top to bottom.
Prescott finished with 344 team points, followed by New Richmond 363, St. Croix Central 387, Prescott Varsity Reserve 403, Baldwin-Woodville 427, Somerset 433, Ellsworth 460, Osceola 466, New Richmond JV 505, St. Croix Central JV 505 and Grantsburg 523.
Prescott’s Ava Salay took second overall with a score of 82. She was followed by teammates Jessica Heinsch with an 87 (fifth place) and Liz Rohl with an 89 (sixth place).
Rounding out the Prescott varsity scores were Rhi Stutz with a 97 and Maddie Reiter with a 102.
The Prescott Varsity Reserve Team was led by Maddie Rundquist (ninth overall) with a 97. Lindsay Olson scored a 99, followed by Annika Fredericks 103, Finley Magee 104 and Mabel Rohl 121.
For Ellsworth, Charlize Smith led the way with a 106, followed by Katie Gillespie 115, Taryn Baker 119, Halle Flock 120 and Kayley Bayer 130.
