The Prescott Kiwnanis Student of the Week for Feb. 15 is sophomore Lydia Feran, nominated by English teacher Tracey Budworth.
“When educators use works like ‘drive, motivated, conscientious, committed and goal-oriented,’ they are describing students like Lydia: the picture of a model student,” Budworth said. “Lydia is kind and patient, which allows me to place her in groups with a variety of other students and skill levels. She is persistent and responsible and ensures her work is done well and done on time. Finally, Lydia is one of the most respectful students I have had in my teaching career. She makes it easy to like her and to build connections with her. I am honored to nominate her as the Kiwanis Student of the Week.”
Lydia is the daughter of Matt and Kasie Feran. The honor roll student works at Caribou Coffee in Prescott. She plays on the Prescott High School golf and softball teams and enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading and working out.
In the future, she plans to attend a four-year college, most likely for a degree in the law or medical field.
