The Prescott Kiwanis Student of the Week for Jan. 24 is sophomore Clare Murphy, nominated by history/ social studies teacher Jeff Ryan.
“Clare has been doing tremendous work in Advanced Placement United States History this year,” Ryan said. “Clare’s performance on tests and quizzes has been outstanding. Additionally, Clare’s participation in classroom discussions, debates and other activities has been excellent. Amiable, respectful and conscientious, Clare is an exceptional school citizen. I am proud to nominate Clare Murphy as the Kiwanis Student of the Week.”
Clare is the daughter of Anne Parizek and Tim Murphy. The honor roll student is a member of the Prescott High school track and field team. She enjoys track, being with friends and watching movies. She plans to attend college to become an ER nurse.
