The Prescott Kiwanis Student of the Week for Oct. 12 is senior Owen Wiltermuth, nominated by band teacher Jason Canfield. “Owen is in HS Band and in the Jam Lab class,” Canfield said. "As a per cussion member in band, he has continuously helped the band with fixing equipment, changing drum heads, load –
ing and unloading equip – ment without even being asked to do so; he simply looks for areas where he can help. Owen shows up to every event with enthusiasm. In Jam Lab, he is very creative, always creating something new and want – ing to share. He also helps others find solutions to us – ing the recording software. Overall, Owen is someone I can trust and rely on to be involved, to help the band, and help create a more posi – tive experience for everyone involved. Owen is simply a great student to have in class.”
Owen is the son of Nick and Katie Wiltermuth. He is a member of Boy Scouts and the Prescott High School trap team. He also works at Ptacek's IGA. He enjoys bowling, playing cards and board games and Frisbee golf. His future plans are undecided.
