The Prescott Kiwanis Student of the Week is junior Madasyn Rundquist, nominated by Prescott High School art teacher Anne Kressly.
“Maddy is a very talented artist and is always challenging herself to do better,” Kressly said. “She explores alternative solutions to problems. She is also helpful to her other art students that are struggling with a technique or concept.”
Maddy is the daughter of Nicole and Mike Rundquist. She helps out with church activities and is employed at Lock & Dam Eatery in Hastings, Minn. She enjoys art, especially painting, thrifting, hanging out with friends, watching sports and traveling. The National Honor Society member and honor roll student plays basketball and golf at PHS. In the future, she plans to attend a four-year university.
