The “Miss Mitchell” B-25 flew over Pierce County to commemorate the Fourth of July Monday. The World War II-era bomber battled poor weather and its flight was delayed and diverted from its planned route because of low clouds due to rainy weather. It’s pictured here flying over Freedom Park in Prescott. The Commemorative Air Force Minnesota Wing plans another trip over Prescott and Hastings on Sunday, July 10. The plane is hangared at Fleming Field in South St. Paul. Photo submitted
