Two Prescott women were hospitalized after an Easter Sunday crash at the interection of Highway 10 and County Road QQ, the site of numerous accidents.
Police were dispatched at 11:26 a.m. Sunday, April 20 to the two-vehicle crash on Highway 10 near County Road QQ in the town of Oak Grove. A 2019 Honda Pilot, driven by Addison Hartung, 36, Chippewa Falls, was traveling south on County Road QQ when it collided with a 2020 Chevy Equinox heading eastbound on Highway 10, driven by Mackenze Rohl, 46, River Falls. Ellsworth Ambulance transported Rohl to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with undisclosed injuries. Life Link Helicopter transported Mabel Rohl, 19, River Falls, to Regions Hospital with undisclosed injuries, while John Rohl, 16, River Falls, was not injured. Hartung had three passengers in his vehicle: Sonja Hartung, 34, Chippewa Falls and two 5-year-old children, none of whom were injured. Allina EMS, Ellsworth Ambulance, Hastings EMS, Life Link, Prescott Fire Department and Prescott Police Department assisted at the scene.
According to a public Facebook post from Ridgetop owner Amy Hildebrandt, the community is rallying to help the Rohls.

On Sunday, April 20th, the Rohl family was involved in a major car accident. Mackenze, Mabel and John were in the vehicle and were struck by another oncoming vehicle that went through the stop sign on QQ leaving Mackenze and Mabel with many injuries. Mackenze is bruised and suffered a broken nose, but is healing well. Mabel’s injuries were much more severe and is currently still hospitalized with significant head injuries.
Mackenze Rohl and her family are one of the selfless families I know, always giving and helping out when needed. I spoke to Mackenze earlier today and I told her what We were doing, she was hesitant, but I said too bad it's our turn to help you and the family.
