Seniors, plan ahead. Mark your calendars! No First Tuesday potluck this month but we are having a "Kick Off to Fall" picnic on Tuesday Aug. 26 at the pavilion at Freedom Park from noon to 3 p.m. Hot dogs and bratwurst provided, bring a side dish or dessert to share.
Also sign up at the Gathering Place for the Mississippi/St. Croix boat trip on Thursday, Aug. 28 from 1-3 p.m. Cost is $10 and limited to 10 people. This is the July trip that was cancelled due to bad weather.
Our September Potluck will be Tuesday, Sept. 9 at noon. We will have two local businesses speaking after lunch, more details coming.
Activities this week:
Wednesday, Aug. 6: Cards day with Euchre played at 12:30 p.m. and Bridge at 1 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 7: Pickleball players meet at 8:30 a.m. at the courts at Lions Park on Elm Street.
Tuesday, Aug. 12: Pickleball players meet at 8:30 a.m. at the courts at Lions Park on Elm Street.
Mahjong players meet at 9 a.m. at Joy Lutheran Church, 1435 St. Croix St. Social/games time, join your friends at the Gathering Place 12:30-3:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 13: Euchre will be played at 12:30 p.m. at the Gathering Place.
Thursday, Aug. 14: Canasta card game will be played at 12:30 p.m., beginners welcome!
Friday, Aug. 15: Memory Cafe meets from 10-11:30 a.m. at Freedom Park.
Prescott Gathering Place is located at 1220 St. Croix St. at the Prescott Middle School, door 5. Regular hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 12:30 p.m. -3:30 p.m. All seniors age 55 and older are invited.
