PRESCOTT – Yes seniors, it is already December 2021. We will have a shorter month at the Gathering Place (1220 St. Croix St., Prescott) due to Christmas break but we have some fun activities planned. Monday Pickleball continues from 910:30 a.m. with sign-in at the Gathering Place by 8:45 a.m. Walkers are also welcome in the gym 9-10 a.m. on Mondays. Wednesday cardio and chair yoga continues to be well attended. Cardio is from 1111:30 a.m. and chair yoga is from 11:30-noon and both take place in the school gym. Check in is 15 minutes before each class at the Gathering Place. Masks are required when in the school hallways.

12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1 – Card games of your choice 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2 – “How to Day,” where we will learn how to make a Christmas ornament.
Noon on Tuesday, Dec. 7 – Soup lunch (two kids of homemade soup).
12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8 – Card games of your choice 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9 – Annual Christmas party 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14 – Board games of your choice 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15 – Card games of your choice 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16 – Movie and popcorn, showing “National Lampoon Christmas Vacation” 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21 – Left, Right, Center game 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22 – Card games of your choice Memory Cafe meets 10-11:30 a.m. Friday Dec. 3 and 17 at the First National Bank community room. Gathering Place will be closed Dec. 23-31 following the school district Christmas break. Therefore, there will be no Book Club this month. Book Club will be reading “Giver of Stars” by Jojo Moyer for January. This is a historical fiction novel about pack horse librarians in remote Kentucky.
