Emma Manor received second place and Zach Murphy was third place in the Pierce County Wisconsin Ag in the Classroom Essay Contest sponsored by the Pierce County Farm Bureau. Wisconsin fourth and fifth grade students wrote a 100-300 word essay with the theme 'How have Wisconsin Soybean Farmers Fueled Wisconsin’s Economy?' As part of their STEM class, all fifth graders read about soybeans, learned about the process of growing and processing soybeans and what products are made from them. Students then wrote essays and submitted them to the contest.
