Staff report
PRESCOTT The City of Prescott will hold voting for the Nov. 8 statewide election again at the Old Ptacek’s Event Center, 1449 Orrin Road, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
However, City Clerk Jayne Brand said that as of Oct. 25, residents can participate in early voting at Prescott City Hall, 800 Borner St. N. during business hours.
She said the larger location allows for more distancing, since it is expected to be a high turnout with the race for governor and United States Senate on the ballot.
“We expect a much larger turnout,” said Brand. “I already have over 200 absentee ballots.”
She said some poll workers came down with illness after the last election.
“The last one, a couple of the election workers had COVID. We’re going to spread out more,” she said.
