Ptaceks Family Market awarded IGA Five Star Honor

PRESCOTT – The Independent Grocers Alliance (IGA) announced that Prescott-based Ptacek’s Family Market has been awarded the IGA Five Star honor for achievement in IGA’s Assessment Program. Five Star is the highest level of recognition possible under the assessment program’s rigorous standards.

The IGA assessment program measures member store performance through two trained shopper visits throughout the year that assess a store’s operations, merchandising, innovation, and customer service.

“IGA retailers and their teams are key members of their local communities, ensuring everyone has access to fresh and affordable food,” IGA CEO John Ross said. “The team at Ptaceks Family Market excelled in taking care of their community in the past year, as evidenced by their Five Star status. They consistently delivered a customer-centric, local shopping experience at the highest service level, and I look forward to seeing how they can go even further this year.”

“We at Ptaceks Family Market are proud to be Prescott’s Five Star IGA,” Manager Pat Ptacek said. “We achieved this honor by meeting the needs of our customers as a team. I’m proud of my dedicated team for their persistence and hard work each day, month, and year. We couldn’t have earned Five Star Status without them. And I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our customers, who we do it all for. We’re grateful to serve them the best foods and goods available, as they deserve the best.”

The Independent Grocers Alliance, or IGA, was founded in 1926, bringing together independent grocers across the United States to ensure that the trusted, family-owned local grocery store remained strong in the face of growing chain competition. IGA is the world’s largest voluntary supermarket network with aggregate worldwide retail sales of over $40 billion per year. The Alliance includes more than 6,200 stores globally, with operations in 46 of the United States and more than 30 countries, commonwealths, and territories.
