HAGER CITY – Team members from Nestlé Purina in Hager City recently presented a $20,000 donation to River Bluff Humane Society to upgrade the shelter’s HVAC system. The donation was delivered through the Purina Trust Fund, recognizing organizations who work to positively impact Purina’s operating communities. 

River Bluff Humane Society is committed to protecting animals through sheltering, adoption services and promoting responsible pet ownership. Each year, the organization helps approximately 300 cats and dogs find loving homes. 

“We are honored to accept this generous donation from Purina Hager City which will support essential facility upgrades,” said Liz Zolondek, director of River Bluff Humane Society. “Purina’s investment in our organization will have a tremendous impact and contribute to a thriving environment for the people and pets of our community.”  

“At Purina, we focus on crafting the best quality food for pets, but we are just as passionate about the communities where we serve,” said Nicholas Smith, Purina Hager City factory manager. “We are thrilled to present River Bluff Humane Society with a Purina Trust Fund grant and continue our partnership in the community. This investment is not only about improving shelter conditions but also about showcasing our dedication to the Hager City community.”  

The Purina Hager City factory opened its doors in 1969 and employs more than 100 local associates who are proud to support these local initiatives.
