ELLSWORTH – Quinn Motors of Ellsworth, a proud family business, is pleased to bring attention to the needs of the Ellsworth Fire and Spring Valley Fire Departments.
For the past 14 years, Quinn Motors has had an Ellsworth Fire and a Spring Valley Fire Chief employed at the dealership. These employees have taught Quinn Motors valuable insights into how local fire departments continue to service their communities and the ongoing need to provide necessary modern equipment and services.
This spring, Quinn Motors helped the Ellsworth Fire Department and Spring Valley Fire Department fund the purchase of two much-needed fire blankets for their life-saving operations. Fire blankets are a critical component in controlling small fires, wrapping victims, preventing burns, and providing safety for those in danger of heat exposure.
“We are honored to support the Ellsworth and Spring Valley Fire Departments and the brave men and women who risk their lives every day to protect our communities,” said Quinn Motors Dealer Principal Meghan Quinn Kummer. “This donation reflects the ongoing commitment to our core values of service and supporting communities where our customers reside.”
The donation will be used to purchase at least two fire blankets for both emergency calls and training exercises. The fire blankets will make an impact on the fire station’s ability to respond to fires more effectively, as fire blankets are crucial for mitigating fire hazards and offering protection during dangerous situations.
Syd Hardy, President of the Pierce County Officers Association of Wisconsin shared, “Commercial grade fire blankets are an essential tool in combatting house fires and many fire departments in Wisconsin are utilizing specialized commercial fire blankets, particularly those designed for extinguishing vehicle and EV fires, as they are finding these blankets are very useful for isolating and suppressing flames in such fire incidents.”
“The Ellsworth Fire Department, along with the Spring Valley Fire Department, sincerely thanks Quinn Motors of Ellsworth for recently donating single-use commercial grade fire blankets to each of our respective fire stations,” said Ellsworth Deputy Fire Chief Kellen Langer. “In addition, we appreciate that the generous donation allows us the important opportunity to advocate and educate the public on such important fire safety tools.”
Quinn Motors is a locally owned and operated General Motors Chevrolet GMC franchised car dealership serving primarily the WI and MN area. Since 1919, the business has been committed to delivering high-quality service and vehicles while supporting the communities that has helped it thrive.
