Quinn Motors of Ellsworth developed a six week hunger awareness campaign throughout Pierce County during the November/ December 2020 holiday period — to benefit the Pierce County Food Pantry in Ellsworth. A food donation location was set-up within Quinn Motors’ dealership location on Main Street in Ellsworth.
“My grandfather, Matthew and father, Bill always reinforced the importance of giving back to the Ellsworth and broader community,” stated Meghan Quinn Kummer, Quinn Motors of Ellsworth Principal. “I’m proud to continue Quinn Motors’ tradition of supporting the community by focusing on the important work of the Pierce County Food Pantry in Ellsworth.”
In partnership with Pierce County Food Pantry Coordinator, Heidi Albarado, Quinn Motors developed a community incentive by offering $5 for every food donation dropped off during the promotional period. A remarkable 595 food items were donated to the Quinn Motors’ food drop off location — in conjunction with the 595 items, the $5 cash incentive/donation by Quinn Motors raised $3000 toward holiday meals in Pierce County.
The Pierce County Food Pantry not only collects food, their relationships with food outlets are strong — every dollar donated to the local Pantry is equivalent to (approx) $7 in food product due to the Pantry's contacts and resources. Over the last fifteen months (1999-2020), Quinn Motors is proud to have raised over $6500 for the local Food Pantry. The collective community commitment to fight hunger in Pierce County has brought in over $45,000 in food buying power to our Wisconsin county!
“This has been a very successful promotion for our food pantry,” shared Pierce County Food Pantry Coordinator, Heidi Albarado. “We heard many people talking about it. The pantry received so many food items and matching funds which helped us to provide holiday meals to community members in need. Thank you so much to Quinn Motors for your support.”
