SUPERINTENDENT’S
Safe Return to School Plan
All school districts that are receiving ESSER III funding through the federal government’s economic stimulus plan are required to develop a “Safe Return to School Plan” as schools begin the 2021-2022 school year._There are a number of required elements that must be included in any plan and these plans must then be reviewed at least every six months._ At the August regular school board meeting a draft plan for the beginning of this school year will be presented to the school board and public for consideration._This meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 9, 2021 in the Ellsworth Elementary School cafeteria. During this regular meeting, the board will hold a public hearing in which the administration will present draft plan elements for consideration by the board and for public input.__ The administration is currently working on developing draft plans for the board and public consideration._As most are aware the district moved to masking being optional for all during our summer school session this past June. In looking at the draft plan for the beginning of this school year we are working with a number of resources that include trends of districts around this area, legal opinions, CDC guidance and mandates, and local and state health department guidance.__
